The Selection Process
In accordance with our formal bylaws, membership is granted only after a comprehensive evaluation of the candidate’s portfolio. This includes a review of their professional trajectory, the “outstanding” nature of their work compared to others in the field, and the global reach of their innovations.
Note to Applicants: This membership category is designed to reflect a level of expertise that is significantly above that ordinarily encountered in the professional world.
Codecavas Research-Gate: Bylaws for Leadership Membership
Article I: Definition of the Leadership Category
The Elite Leadership Circle (ELC) is established as a restricted membership tier for individuals who have risen to the very top of their field of endeavor. Membership is granted solely to those who can demonstrate sustained national or international acclaim and whose achievements have been recognized in the field through extensive documentation.
Article II: Mandatory Criteria for Admission
To qualify for admission under these Bylaws, an applicant must provide a comprehensive portfolio of evidence. The Selection Committee requires satisfaction of at least three of the following criteria to confirm “Extraordinary Ability”:
Receipt of Lesser Nationally or Internationally Recognized Prizes: Documentation of excellence through prestigious awards or honors for outstanding achievement.
Membership in Associations Requiring Outstanding Achievements: Membership in the ELC itself is contingent on having already achieved status in other organizations that require “outstanding achievements” of their members, as judged by recognized national or international experts.
Published Material in Professional Publications: Evidence of the candidate’s work being featured in major trade publications, professional journals, or major media outlets.
Participation as a Judge: Evidence that the candidate has acted as a judge of the work of others in the same or an allied field (e.g., peer review for journals or thesis defense committees).
Original Scientific or Scholarly Contributions: Proof of contributions of major significance to the field of software engineering, AI, or computational research.
Authorship of Scholarly Articles: Evidence of authorship of articles in professional or major trade publications with high citation impact.
Leading or Critical Role: Evidence that the candidate has performed in a leading or critical role for organizations or establishments that have a distinguished reputation.
Article III: The Selection and Review Committee
Composition: The committee shall consist of no fewer than five permanent members who themselves possess documented extraordinary ability.
The “Peer” Standard: Admission is determined through a “Peer Review” process. The committee evaluates whether the candidate’s entry into Codecavas Research-Gate will enhance the organization’s reputation as a hub for world-class talent.
Finality: The decision of the Selection Committee is final and serves as an official certification of the member’s standing within the global research community.
